My good friend, Stephen Huneycutt, invited Kelly and I to be one of his "Characters of the Day" for his 365 day journey experiencing the sights, sounds, and interactions that happen during his coffee visits in Birkdale Village. Here are the Links;
Day 228 - Gaston the Numbers Guy
Day 245 - Kelly the Sweet Southern Bell
I must say, being interviewed as well as Stephen manages it was quite a treat. He helped me remember things that I'd not talked about or thought of ... Read More

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! And with the previous sentence I finally have my "own" official website. Up till now, Wordpress.Com was "hosting" this blog HERE. As of today, I had successfully migrated the blog to here (Where you are now), at "HeyGaston". The idea of the URL name came from a friend of ours, so imagine my surprise when such a common sounding ... Read More

Just a quick post to let everyone know that we are off to the 'Cooner (Cancun for those of you residing west and north of Gaston County, NC). We will post MUCH more later, but we wanted to leave a quick note letting everyone know how much we appreciate your love and support. Its 6:30 AM and we are getting ready to catch a plane. Nonetheless, we did want to get a few shots of the Wedding online.

Kelly and her mom have handled 98% of the details all by themselves, so my hat is off to them for a job well ... Read More

My tastes in architecture have changed a little, and after 29 additional years of experience, I have learned that life has a way of kicking you in the butt at times. Nonetheless, ... Read More

The Apple Store - What a place! We went there to address a problem that Kelly's 7 month old iPod Video (30G) was experiencing. It would not hold its charge longer than an hour which was quite annoying during workout's and when you want to actually listen to music.
After entering the rather crowded store, we were directed to the "Genius" desk to have our issue addressed by a pro! Once we got the attention of someone who worked ... Read More

Kelly and I finally got to meet our friends and get some photos taken today. We've always wanted to get some "Professional" photos done by someone that didn't make us feel like we were auditioning for a low budget adult film and we finally got lucky with a friend of a friend of ours. In any case, we think the photos from the shoot turned out GREAT, (although I am sure we are a bit bias), but the most important ... Read More
